I find his statements very believable, given what has happened already in, say, Japan from the late 1980's to today, or in the USA in the period 1929-1945. Actually, it is not just believable, but probably inevitable that the USA will decline for many years or decades, given the depths of corruption and mass financial insanity that we have collectively been suffering for years.
