Overview: Much has been written about the actual amount of physical silver that exists in world above ground inventories. Due to decades of industrial consumption depleting world inventories, there is remarkably little silver remaining. I have estimated perhaps one billion ounces of silver bullion equivalent exists at anywhere near current prices, and my estimates are much higher than most published estimates.

I have been reading this stuff for seven and a half years now. When is the explosion coming ?

Hopefully you bought your stash back then.

Don't worry DUNEYMAN, it's just around the corner or maybe next week, well it could take another month or two, maybe a little longer. Then again maybe I shouldn't be speculating, my silver had mold growing on it before you even started reading about silver.

If Silver is ever going to be in a shortage situation as Ted has been warning us about for so long, how much longer is he going to keep the same one billion ounce estimate? Please Ted, knock a million or two off now and then so we can keep the faith!!!

My Silver helped me survive Y2K, I'm just hoping it will happen before the end of the Mayan calendar. I can't stand the thought of the world coming to an end without cashing in on Silver!!!

Someone who has held silver for a lot longer than I have is still keeping the faith. That's good to know !

I started buying silver in the mid 90's before I even heard about Butler. After Clinton's re-election I thought he and Greenspan would go crazy. Every bubble that has been created and popped since then convinced me the move was at hand. Here we are again but this time it really is different.I don't think the Open Market Committee can pull this much dough out of the oven and there certainly isn't fiscal restraint in the future!

The silver I bought at $4 to $5 has given me peace of mind and 200 to 250% appreciation so , what the hell , it's doing what it's supposed to do ---preserve wealth. I have 100 oz. bars I bought for $480 and gold eagles I bought for $290 and even if we see the big move soon , I'm not going to be inclined to sell unless I need to. In what are you going to put your faith?

If speculating is your thing , stocks and the ETFs are the best way. They're both faster and it's a lot easier to shovel paper than PMs!

Newbee, I been reading it since the mid 1970s. When the Hunt brothers ran the price of silver up in 79 & 80 I thought silver's day had come. It did for a short while. But remember, "Today is the day."

Their downfall was their love for Gold. Those sinister Egyptians, the ones that taught them how to build step pyramids traded them Gold for all their Silver. Knowing full well that as soon as they stopped drinking out of Silver cups they would all succumb to the bacteria in the water. They waited until they all died and then took back their gold and returned to Egypt and were never seen in the South of Us again.

Isn't it amazing, they could see until the end of time, but they couldn't see what was in the drinking water right in front of them.

To prove just how smart they really were, their hieroglyphics tell all not to sell at $50, but to wait for the great seer of Butler and follow his lead.
