Subject:Silver in Crisis
By: Adam Hamilton, Zeal Intelligence LLC Overview: Since silver has fallen off a cliff and even its best producers have cratered, silver investors and speculators are feeling tremendous anxiety. Me too, this crisis situation is just unreal. Like so many things in these crazy markets, today’s horrific silver environment would’ve seemed impossible not too many months ago. So this week I decided to take a look at silver in crisis and see what insights we could glean. Link: http://news.silverseek.com/Zealllc/1227287315.php |

If you go by the article's way of thinking then why not just buy gold? It's true that silver is following in gold's footsteps for now, but there are also many reasons to buy silver for the long term unrelated to gold due to its industrial value. But I'm sure the article's author knows that.

I don't understand how silver just fell off the clift. The stock market crashed 575 points. Oil dropped 5 dollars. Silver went back to what it was two weeks ago. That doesn't seem like a crash to me.
any blatant manipulations today? Last edited by cugir321 : 1st December 2008 at 18:31. |

The pattern has been when the stock market crashes so do PMs. Recession fears outweigh inflation fears. People selling PMs to cover losses in other markets is what I hear too. The truth is no manipulation, but rather the market found out that I bought silver on Friday. LOL! Works every time.

Yup, I bought last night.... BAM.... and once again the moon and stars align to remind me how funny this all is. I'm now four for four - when I buy it drops a buck....
It's all good though. Not selling anytime soon.

The day may come when we will not regret the silver we bought, but rather the silver we didn't.

But I feel your pain. I buy, it goes down. As I'm gathering more cash to buy again, it staggers up. Just in time for me to buy as it goes down again. Silver is an opportunistic mistress. |

Yah, and it's not like I hold my cash and wait for a special - I gets me check, I buys me some metal.... But this last buy was ASE from Apmex with that 3.49 over spot. Got lucky and picked up 400. And I don't care what the paper spot prices says anyways.

Silver had it's crisis, it's overdone correction. They always told us that silver is more volatile than gold, and they were right! It's time to buy.
What astounds me is that everyone is still piling into US Treasury bonds like they were gold! The last bubble. Pays next to no interest, issuer owes everybody on the planet, and they are irresistible to the masses. Go Figure! Such touching faith, these bond investors have: "Government will never fail me." If they want something safe, that can't go bankrupt, silver or gold are what they need. US T-Bonds are an accident waiting to happen. |
