Post Will the Hunts buy silver again after selling Hunt Petroleum?

Subject:Will the Hunts buy silver again after selling Hunt Petroleum?
By: Peter J. Cooper

Overview: This week XTO Energy finally agreed to buy Hunt Petroleum for $4.2 billion after a long legal tussle between Hunt family heirs. The firm was founded by the late billionaire HL Hunt whose sons Nelson Bunker Hunt and William Herbert Hunt once cornered the world silver market in the 1970s.

Just for everyone's info...

If they planned to spen all 4.5 billion in ten years on silver, they would have to buy almost 12 tonnes a week. That would add up to about 200 or so million ounces. But that's basing it on today's price range, which is certainly going to change over that time period.

Still... that's A LOT of silver!

And they could buy it all as far as I'm concerned! That would be a price booster to say the least... but I'm sure the government would have something to say about it... again.

I don't even want to think of the price increase this would cause!

Oh Yes, Let the Hunts bring back the days of 1980... I was at a place called Silver town in Winchester, In, There was a guy with a huge Aluminum Coal shovel in a huge pit of silver coins filling up drums with coins and trying to work his way out.

But they where buying so fast, another guy was filling the pit faster than he could empty it.....yikes
