As of June 13th, the US Mint has shipped 434,000 ASE's for the month of June and 11,681,500 YTD.

I don't want to declare this another disastrous month for the US Mint, but they are running over 900,000 ASE's behind the average monthly total this far into the month.

One huge order can turn that around tomorrow, but it's starting to look like more of the same. I can't imagine what this has meant for generic sales this year...

As of June 19th the US Mint has shipped 634,000 ASE's for the month of June and 11,881,500 YTD.

They are now 1.3 million behind so far this month compared to the average monthly shipments from 2016.

Anything can happen in a heartbeat, but this is really starting to look like another really bad Feb, March or April again.

As of June 20th, the US Mint has shipped 706,000 ASE's for the month of June and 11,953,500 YTD.

I have to say I'm stunned by the fact someone has actually posted back to back data two day's in a row.

It's not as if they had a huge shipping day to get excited by.

Maybe the person who does this reporting is off this week and that persons replacement is actually following their posted guidelines of posting on a "daily" basis instead of when someone feels like it...Good for you, whoever you are!!!!

For the month of June, the US Mint shipped 986,000 ASE's and 12,233,500 YTD

This is the lowest six month total to start any year since 2008 when they shipped 9,060,500 ASE's to start and finished with 19,583,500.

The highest first six month total was actually last year with 26,250,500, but finished with only 37,701,500

The fifth highest first six month total was in 2015 with 21,786,000, but finished with a record setting year total of 47,000,000

The highest 12 month total was actually the last half of 2015 and the first half of 2016 for a total 51,464,500.

And then the wheels fell off the train as the next 12 month total was only 23,684,500 leading up to the end of June 2017.

So looking at it from the best to the worst situation, the period from July 1st to June 30th this last year saw a reduction in shipments of 27,780,000 ASE's.

This past 12 months is the lowest 12 month period, even lower than from 2008 - 2009 when they shipped 24,347,500 ASE's

As always, you never know when the next ASE gone wild cycle will start.

The first six month total by year
    2016 - 26,250,500
    2013 - 25,043,500
    2014 - 24,128,500
    2011 - 22,303,500
    2015 - 21,786,000
    2010 - 18,168,500
    2012 - 17,392,000
    2009 - 13,824,500
    2017 - 12,233,500
    2008 - 9,060,500

The first six months of the year almost always looks better because of the huge volume of shipments in January versus the weak number in December dragging down the second half of the year.

The last six month total by year
    2015 - 25,214,000
    2014 - 19,877,500
    2011 - 17,565,000
    2013 - 17,631,500
    2010 - 16,494,000
    2012 - 16,350,500
    2009 - 14,942,000
    2016 - 11,451,000
    2008 - 10,523,000

comparing past history, this looks to be another year well below 40 million ounces again, but how low

Not a great time to be living off the premiums from Silver sales and still making the payments on your wife's Ferrari.

It's also not a great time for most of us to have to sell some Silver...

Just an example: APMEX is paying 75 over spot for any year ASE

and they are paying $1.25 under spot for generic Silver. That's anything that doesn't have their name stamped on it and a bit more for name product like JM, but most generics will go for well under spot.

This compared to their normal buy back range of around 25 under spot for most generic products.

I can't get over their spread on ASE's where they are selling at $2.59 - $3.59 and their buy back is 75 over spot.

One thing is for certain, there are better premium deals on generic Silver than I've ever seen in over 20 years, not so for premium rounds or 90% coins.

Looks like shopping around for places to sell is just as bad as trying to find a place to buy and not get screwed.

I have to wonder how many dealers will still be in business by the end of this year if sales don't recover in a big way.

As of Wednesday July 5th, the US Mint has shipped 320,000 ASE's for the month of July and 12,553,500 YTD

As of Monday July 10th, the US Mint has shipped 990,000 ASE's for the month of July and 13,223,500 YTD

As of Thursday July 13th, the US Mint has shipped 1,290,000 ASE's for the month of July and 13,523,500 YTD

As of Tuesday July 18th, the US Mint has shipped 1,875,000 ASE's for the month of July and 14,108,500 YTD

This is the third highest monthly total so far this year and they still have nine shipping days left.

The numbers look so much better than past months, but it's right on target for one of last years monthly averages, which hasn't been met once this year other than in January.

Looks like someone is expecting something to happen or it already has with the dip in the spot price.

As of Monday July 24th, the US Mint has shipped 2,220,000 ASE's for the month of July and 14,453,500 YTD.

With five shipping days left in the month this should be the second highest shipping month of the year.

If it's a good week, it could equal one of last years monthly average, it's looking up for a change.

Oh God help us, as of Monday July 31st, the US Mint shipped 2,270,000 ASE's for the month of July and 14,503,500 YTD...

The Mint needed to ship a whopping 235,500 ASE's in the final five day's to reach a new second month high total for the year which is pretty sad for 2017 and they managed to ship a whopping 50,000...

Since the first six months of ASE shipments out of the US Mint were the lowest since 2008, this is not kicking off the second half of this year with a bang.

I just have to wonder regarding these claims about the huge demand for Silver everywhere else in the world but here with the ASE being the most popular government round on Earth.

Either it's not as popular as we think or no one in the US is buying any at the lowest premiums and spot prices in the world. Something doesn't add up, unless 2+2 doesn't = 4 any longer...

Have you noticed the dealer premium decrease on ASE's, it's down to $2.24 at the monster box level with the dealer paying $2.00 each for them and SD Bullion is selling five monster boxes at $2.19 each.

Consider that for a moment, only 19 for each ASE compared to other major dealers like APMEX selling the same five monster boxes for 69 each above their cost.

SD Bullion is making $475 above their cost to the US Mint for five monster boxes before they pile on their own cost to deliver those five boxes plus all of their cost to handle and store them.

Where a major dealer like APMEX in making $1,725 on the same five monster boxes before they pile on their cost as well.

Desperate times call for drastic measures and only the best run organizations can pull of things like this or you know the rest of this story...

I'm so glad I don't have to get involved with any of these dealers anymore, at least not to buy anything.

The only organization not participating in any of this is the US Mint, they are still charging $2.00 per ASE no matter how low the spot price drops or how low the demand has dwindled away and they don't care...

As of Monday August 7th, the US Mint has shipped 110,000 ASE's for the month of August and 14,663,500 YTD

On a positive note, 110,000 shipped the past five days is 60,000 more than the previous five shipping days
