2016 ASE sales from the US Mint

None of the above, it appears that someone got wind of the impending shutdown of the US Mint a tad early this year and went on a buying binge.

As of Wednesday November 23rd, the US Mint has shipped 2,886,000 ASE's for the month of November and 37,286,500 YTD.

So much for any theory that the government shut down the operation as a means to keep Silver out of the hands of it's people, they haven't stopped shipping with an additional 165,000 leaving their docks this Tuesday and Wednesday.

As of Monday November 28th, the US Mint has shipped 3,011,000 ASE's for the month of November and 37,411,500 YTD.

That's 815,000 ASE's shipped over the past five day's....

Does any one still believe the US Mint stopped taking orders ten day's ago???

As of Tuesday November 29th, the US Mint has shipped 3,061,000 ASE's for the month of November and 37,461,500 YTD.

Well the dealers are still on target for buying the number of ASE's for November and December of 4 - 7 million, with 3,201,000 so far as of December 5th shipments.

It's looking more like it will be near the lower end of that range and a substantial drop in total from last years record setting pace.

It's still possible they will ship 40 million, but with Decembers history, it's probably not going to happen this year

This may be the end total for the year, however I believe it is just a misinterpretation of the latest US Mint bulletin and we have more to come

There hasn't been any additional shipments reported by the Mint since last Wednesday, so it appears this is the final total for the year. I'll keep checking and post any late additions

The total for the year is at 37,701,500, about a million less than might have been shipped if the mint didn't run out, but well short of the 40 million mark set back in 2011

Well in may not have been a banner year for ASE sales but it was one hell of a lot better for those buying ASE's this year than last with steady premiums consistently lower this year.
