Nice call. I am glad some people stopped waiting for something with a value that has not changed in 1000s of years to change in value just because its price in fiat changes as if the fiat is worth hanging onto for any purpose other than fire place kindling.

As always buy the price dips.

I agree with you Kat--pricing in FRN$ is very misleading.

However, one of the reasons I like silver is that its price has changed dramatically from its average looking at the past hundreds of years.

The gold/silver ratio used to be about 10:1 or 15:1 since the 1700s. True, silver was monetized back then. When silver was de-monetized, we saw big gains in the gold/silver ratio (silver price went down relative to gold). Anywhere between 15:1 and 100:1. But silver was not monetized in 1980 and it again reached a 15:1 ratio. Neither was gold monetized at that time.

It seems that 15:1 is a possible top for the value of silver relative to gold, which apparently is the ratio that is found naturally in the earth's crust.

At a current 62:1 gold/silver ratio--I like silver's chances to appreciate going into a PM bull market relative to gold.
