Just got back from the local coin shop...picked up two damaged 2009 ASE's for $15.5 each. Apparently the proprietor had a little accident leaving a coin show and they got dropped onto a road resulting in nicks on the edges. The faces of the coins are in tact. I think $15.5 was a decent deal...what about you?

Also picked up two 5oz SilverTowne bars for $15.5/oz...seems decent to me.

Not too bad but you can pick up ASE BU's from most places now for 1.99 over. You then have to include shipping etc, so for just a couple it's fine as "an oz. of .999 is an oz of .999."

well 15.5 is only 1.5 over with no shipping or paper trail. damaged....but as you said "an oz. of .999 is an oz of .999."

i picked bits of asphalt out of the dents in the edge of the coin. worth it.

I think you got a better deal on the ASEs then the bullion.

ASEs are bullion! As long as they weigh an ounce and you can tell what they are (or were) they are not truly "damaged."

Yeah just some nicks on the edge. I was surprised to see them in with the generic rounds.

Once, I was at the coin shop and he offered me circulated ASE at $1 off the reg. price. They really aren't bad, some scratches, small nicks, discoloration. I bought a few.
