you should post this to the 'other topics' area
i got a silver certificate as a tip when i was a paperboy
might bring you a smidge closer to the silver market
but the topic's not here
and it should go...there

Friend, just wanted you to be hip to the impression that members on the Forum hold that the "Silver Market" category really ought to be about the Silver Market, or somethings thereabouts.
Not about tipping the mailman.

My current mail man is ...deficient. At the old place- I had my mail by 10:40 AM. not to mention- the carrier was cool eye candy!!

My parents used to give a turkey to our mailman every year. Ive never done so, but think of it from time to time, and never end up doing it. Especially because I live in a condo and Im never home when the mail is dropped.

Was that a live turkey or a frozen one?
Either way it had to be kind of cumbersome to the mailman to haul that big ass bird around as well as the Sears and Roebuck catalogues.
Anyway it was a beautiful jesture, back in the day.
Bob.
The view from my pile, yours may be different.

I believe we already pay the mail man a decent wage, a good retirement, and healthcare package to boot. I'm sure the auto worker is leaving him something for every holiday.

Exactly if your goin tip someone you should tip someone thats makes less then minimum wage and depends on tips instead of a check. I think somone like a mailman would apreciate a freindly compliment for there good services rather then a couple of bucks, as there just doin there job. LoL I should become a mailman I could use a good retirement!

This reminds me of the story I heard a few years back about the
bus driver that put out a tip jar when he worked on New Years Eve,
apparently it was successfull. Of course on New Years Eve a higher
than usual percentage of the population is drunk too. ;)
