Has ANYBODY in here EVER came across fake silver bullions of any size?
You don't have to be the unfortunate buyer, just as long as you've physically touched or seen the fake bullion.
Anybody? If so, how does it "feel" or "look" different than the real thing? And how did you come to know it was fake?

So nobody has ever seen a fake silver bullion? Or maybe no one wants to admit having bought one?

My first purchase of silver bullion or "rounds" was from a pawn shop. The owner offered me silver rounds for spot+. I purchased 15 ounces. A week or two later I read an article that said only purchase silver rounds marked .999 and one troy ounce. 12 of the 15 rounds did not state .999 or one troy ounce. I bought 12 silver clad copies of silver bullion rounds. I guess that was my $200 lesson in what not to buy. When I took them back to the pawn shop, the owner said he was no longer buying silver, and offered me $5 each. I was so angry. Anyway, I learned my lesson and now am very careful about what bullion I buy.
To answer your question, if it doesn't say .999 and one troy ounce, it isn't. Also, these silver clad crap medals had a very different ring when balanced on the finger and struck with another coin. Silver makes a wonderful ring, the clad crap just kind of vibrates.
Hope this helps.
