I just got my tax refund and cashed it in for gold and Aussie dollars (given I bought silver 2 days ago and need to repatriate some funds).

Gainesville Coins (where I normally get gold) is out of Gold Eagles (they've never been out that I've observed). Apmex is out of stock on hand with their next order arriving next week for AGE's. Tulving is also waiting on a shipment next week - and has now upped their minimums to 20oz of gold (from 10oz). This seems like a tightening of supply (at least so far as AGE's and ASE's are concerned).

Oh, APMEX has jacked their AGE premium to $90 per coin if you buy less than 20oz, with postage on top of that - I just averaged my AGE's to almost $1090 each with postage bundled in - that's the most I've ever paid (I do CC not wire transfers or checks).

I know we should "buy the dips" (and I did on Wed before my new FRN's just arrived), but right now I'm afraid more of a price rise, than a price decrease in the coming weeks. That's saying something.

I remember when gold went from 400 to 800, it went pretty quick. I have a feeling we are going to 1600 to 1800 pretty quick in gold.

This is going to be a huge move in gold.

Remember how it jumped around ? Like an elevator randomly going from floor to floor. Up 200, down a hundred, up 400 down 200, it was wild. I think you are right, we might see the same thing shortly. Fasten your seat belts!!

Valid Question. I am wondering the same, and all the while kicking myself in the ass for not re-loading on this last dip.

There was a Franklin Mint JFK silver coin set in an album at the LCS. $500. 36 ounces troy of .999 silver.
Good deal, too good to pass up. Fortunately I had JUST enough cash with me to buy the rest of the .999 they had in the case. Also got a 5 gram Johnson Matthey mini bar in plastic. Very cute, yeah I said "cute". I'll put down my purse now. I had not seen such a small fractional silver piece before.
Probably get $20 for it on ebay. hehe.
Back to the silver jump though. IF gold is going to 1800 (per main1event). Then I think we can assume silver will do better and perhaps close the g/s ratio gap further and perhaps reach 40-45. One being g/s ratio, the other being the price of silver itself. And if this is the paper spot number then REAL silver will be in the $50-60 range. And since I have ASE's then they should bring $60-70. So, Yeah, I like that.
Hopefully it happens in a week or two!
