Agentum, it looks like you need to think a bit more before pulling the trigger.

Usually I guess wrong and have to come back from being in the hole,
so this is an excellent start for me.

I just covered my short and went long a bit too soon. http://forums.silverseek.com/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif
Luckily I've learned to not go ALL IN. http://forums.silverseek.com/images/smilies/icon_cool.gif

I don't think its done yet! When silver falls, it falls hard, and it doesn't limit it to just one event like that. Another shoe is going to drop today or tomorrow, IMO.

In the traditional equities environment...

If you go long then your upside is unlimited, and your downside is limited.
If you go short then your upside is limited, and your downside is unlimited.

However if you go long on a derived equity like ZSL (ProShares UltraShort Silver),
then it seems that your upside and downside are limited.
Is this correct, or is the upside theoretically unlimited?

I'm thinking a short of ZSL is downside limited, because silver can't go to zero.

Now you are probably are thinking about the other subtle scenarios, but I can't go there right now.

Thanks Metalworx. ;)

Is the $2.00 limit on the minimum stock value? Cause right now the stock I am investing in is still a penny (DOGO)

I think that $2 is the lowest acceptable stock price limit at the time you buy.

BTW I thought that today's pop was manipulation,
and apparently it was.

That 20 minute delay simulator sucks and I will be glad to see the new one.

I had a "buy to cover" limit order @ $215.60 set this afternoon for 1000 shares of AGQ.

I saw it go below that for about 10 seconds bottoming at $215.22 @ 3:36 PM EDT, then again at 3:37 PM for about 30 seconds it traded in the $215.40 - 215.55 range before going back over the $215.60 mark.

http://finance.yahoo.com/echarts?s=agq#chart1:symbol=agq;range=1d;indicator =volume;charttype=line;crosshair=on;ohlcvalues=0;l o***ale=on;source=undefined

I was going to go long for a bit and I was shocked to see the 1000 shares short still there.
I had to cover at the market, and that simulation deficiency cost my account $3000. :(

Can't wait to see what September will bring.

And to those who are not currently playing, it looks like we'll be real time in AUGUST!

Like I told Jake a couple of years ago, if I were rich enough to afford a day trading account, then I could make a whole lot of money exploiting the OBVIOUS silver manipulation.

Of course if I were rich, then I probably would not have been mentally sharp enough to pick up on the patterns. ;)

Now that I know about AGQ and ZSL, my documented triple using only SLV last year, potentially could have been a six-bagger!

With only two trading days left....

I try to get $1K per trade and should have done it.

Thank you Metalworx.

Here's to good luck in the new real time stock trading simulation. http://forums.silverseek.com/images/icons/icon14.png

I hope that we'll still be able to monitor each other's orders and trade history.
