Ive got silver Wheaton and I just heard about Gold Wheaton. Its on the pink sheets. Sounds like a great company with the same low fixed cost strategy as Silver Wheaton. Anyone know anything about the company?

Dudley Baker likes them a lot. They've only got a single royalty contract in place at the moment though. Plenty of room for growth. Just check the website dude.

They have a LOT of shares out (almost a BILLION) and that's mainly because they had to pay out some HELLACIOUS UP-FRONT payments on those 3 projects they list on their website that they're purchasing the "gold by product" from. And I don't think they're in production yet (though close). Initially, they reminded me more of www.royalgold.com (probably THEE, premier, top-of-the-line, gold stock to own if you had to choose just one) than www.silverwheaton.com (probably and arguably one of THEE best silver stocks to own) though anyone would be considered fortunate & wise to have either or both of those in their portfolio.
Personally, I'd like to read some write ups on them from one of the newsletters I subscribe to and see a reco on them before I'd know whether to invest as they are fairly new. Still, it does merit more....study and is an interesting and speculative story. Thanks for the heads-up!!

Good points, they do have an awful lot of shares out there, but it is only $0.18 per share and they appear to have bottomed. If gold shoots up high they will be sittin in tall cotton even though they paid that high up front cost. 120,000 oz of gold production by 2010. If gold is $1000 an oz thats 120 mill. If gold gets crazy though it will be a lot more.

Click that link above and you can see what the folks who inhabit www.stockhouse.com think of Gold Wheaton. Knowing how things work there, I'd say looking these posts over that there's not much....excitement with this one. Still, the rising price of gold could "shake this one loose" otherwise and until I see them in a NL reco by an author I know and trust, I'll pass for now. There seems to be better speculative....investments that should pay off quicker than GLW, though in a rising price environment for precious metals, GLW should do well also. Interesting story but I'd keep looking....
