View Full Version : Are you prepared?

Are you prepared? Are you aware of the events unfolding around us right now? Have you been paying attention to the plans being made by our Government regarding the use of treasure they have yet to collect from us in the form of new taxes.

Are you aware that most of these new plans, and the majority of the programs initiated already for the benefit of banks, financial institutions and some favored and select business concerns are unconstitutional?

Well then it is time to wake up. As a people, Americans have created a society that rivals most of the developed world. We have designed a financial system that until recent years, was the model to be copied worldwide. Until the late seventies, our highway and rail systems were the envy of the world. In our succor, we have allowed some of this system to succumb to systemic rot. Our roads and bridges have been allowed to collapse, our rail system is in decline and our electrical infrastructure is crumbling.

We are now faced with a financial cataclysm, created through the greed and avaris of the elite who were supposed to be above contempt. We are finding corruption at the highest levels of the system, and giving charge to those same people to try and repair the damage. Our Government is blinded by the special interests and lobbys that currently control our congressional eunuchs.

The real tragedy exists on several levels. The first would be that We The People, elected these "leaders". Shame on us. The second is that we have absolutely no voice when it comes to decisions being made about trillions of dollars being thrown about like so much confetti. The third, is the complete abdication of the citizens of the United States [generally] of any personal responsibility. That is to say very specifically, with regards to all of the bluster about alt-A mortgages, Pick-A-Pay, etc. etc. ad nauseum, and the "poor folks" who got scammed by the evil banksters. There has been no responsibility assigned to the folks who signed on the dotted line because they were convinced they would "flip" the house in a year and cash out fifty large of free money because, you know.....real estate always goes up.......right? The greatest tragedy is that we have two generations of lost children, kids who have been reared on MTV, video games and a new found power over their parents. We took away our right to discipline our kids, and allowed the media powers that be to poison their minds with mindless violence. Many of the television programs on straight cable today would be considered "R" rated when I was growing up.

We are now at a crossroads, one that will test the resolve of Americans as a people. We will experience a suffering the likes of which most of the living have only read about in school, or heard vague stories form our grandparents. Gen X and Gen Y will suffer the most. Having no real frame of reference, they will not understand what is happening, and believe that the Government really IS here to help. They will become the debt slaves the Government wants them to be. Compliant little automatons. They will join Obama's "Civilian Security Force", and rat out neighbors who water their lawn a little bit too long, or throw out an aluminum can instead of recycling it.

We have a chance to stand up and be heard, but the time is running short. Without a concerted voice, the decisions that will determine the fate of our republic will be made, and there will be no turning back. We are all capable of reading the research and commentary that bear out the statements I have made, and intelligent enough to understand the implications. We need to have our voices heard as one voice. It is time to make a stand against bailing out the very businesses and business models responsible for our current problems. I have personally sent letters to my Representatives deriding the wasteful support of the failures that are AIG, Bank of America, Merrill Lynch and others.

As a people, we are endowed by the Constitution with a voice, and it is our responsibility as good citizens to use it. Those who would determine my future, serve at the pleasure of the Public, they are our employees. Do what you know is right, write your legislators and express your position.

Without a voice, we are but slaves.

Well written.
Aware? Yes
Prepared? Can you be prepared for what's coming? Honestly, Trying hard, Succeeding to a large degree.
Can the tide be turned? We will need all the strength, fortitude and desire that we can muster and then some. My thought is nothing is too late but we may be in "need a miracle time" now.:(

You say what intuitively many of us feel, the world is going to the dogs. Others say there has always been evil around and murder and prostitution etc...that is true but not on this grand scale. I believe that what is happening is by design, all headed towards a one world Govt who will control everybody left on the planet (they will determine the number and what you can and can't do). The solution is Christ, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, that is the advice the great Apostle Paul gave to the Philipian jailer.

Agreed! I think that many may come to that decision point in the coming years.. and in the grand scheme of things, any pain on earth is worth it if it brings you to the point of bowing you knee before Jesus.

Now.. back to silver :D

I think that although we have PM , we may be spared some of the financial distress, but not the emotional upheaval of the days ahead...

This is exactly one of the problems facing this country right now. The Left has legislated God out of our lives, making it ILLEGAL to pray in schools etc. Now, these lunatics are in control of our government, and they are hell bent on furthering their socialist, politically correct, everyone-is-exactly-the-same bullshit agenda. They would rather insure free health care and education for illegal aliens than worry about the christian center.

Get ready for the storm, cause' it's a brewin'

I would have to say if there is a crisis, $20 by summer, $25-$30 by end of year minimum. But I'm just guessing

I am afraid it is time to "pay the piper". One Nation Under GOD...that is what we were and now this is what we have become.
I tell you the interesting thing...we go to a very large church with many, many thousands of members and three services in two sanctuaries. This year there has been probably a couple hundred sitting and standing around the perimeter...no seats left!!! When things are good people tend to think they do not need God...when things are bad they are searching for some solice.
WAKE UP AMERICA!!!!

I'm nowhere near prepared. With a tight budget it's difficult to accumulate the three B's (Beans, Bullets and Bullion) in any amount in the time frame I fear we have. I'm only above average in 1 out of 3.

I would start with beans, then bullion, then bullets. You HAVE to eat, you SHOULD pay your bills, and you MIGHT need to protect yourself.. just my opinion...

Spiritually, yes, for years. I delight in those who God in His Wisdom has used me to bring into His Kingdom via my books in that field. He did not 'need' me, but He used me, and I marvel at that and cherish those who have been touched by This Ol' Ripple in the Kindgom Pond and go on to 'Ripple' others in His Service.

Preparing in The Other realm (to live on in this world until it's Time to make the transition to Life Everlasting) Well...that's a work-in-progress and each and every day I seem to prepare a bit more. Again, God has recently seen to it I had the monetary resources to invest in this realm moreso than otherwise we would have been able.

I do so not with only myself and family and friends in mind...but I store up stuff so that if a stranger appears, "feed my sheep" can be fulfilled - with the Word of God, AND with something for the tummy. I'm not the type ready to send for someone with an AK47 at the sign of a stranger's approach during SHTF times.

We entertain angels unawares, is my thought, and, also, 'that which ye do for the least of your brethern, ye have done it to Me'. If a bag of dry beans and a pint jar containing a canned, smoked hamhock and broth is something for me to send home with another out of our larders, I will trust in God to use it, especially with those 'not right with God', but who He will feed in spirit, and use humanly given gifts of beans and meat to keep body and soul together long enough for the recipient to be sated and be Introduced to a True Friend Spiritually and live long enough to Make That Choice. Which only an individual can, as earlier threads here referred to as 'bending the knee'. Amen, amen!

And no burly, testosterone-filled, he-man is so 'manly' that he doesn't need God. Only with Christ is their true manhood tempered with agape`.

There are many I've connected with via posts, where it feels almost like an impromptu worship - where two or more are in My Name - there am I. And there's usually more than just one or two. Space and time don't limit the Lord. He is with us on these boards.

Go ahead and dismiss me as a flaming Bible-thumping ol' bat. I've just lived long enough to know a bit about what's what. And if you are a newbie and you are frightened and want to know where to 'start'. Before you gather up your worthless Federal Reserve Notes to run buy a few ounces of Silver, well, may I suggest grabbing the Holy Bible instead and there's true Gold in there.

And it won't rust or tarnish and endures forever and ever.

Thanks for that post - gives encouragement.

I will have to say that those of us that bend the knee to Christ are in a unique position to help the walking wounded. There will be more and more as the days progress, looking for something that will make sense out of their shattered lives.

Any pain or heartache that is part of this life is worth it, if the result is a eternal relationship with the King of Kings.

Well, only the beans and bullion remain to be had. I try to pick up a little extra of each every week.

Great post ....I know exactly what you mean by being used by the Lord when he does not need you...in fact this is often my motivation when I preach, I know I am not worthy, I just want to be used by the Lord.

My philiosphy is the Lord, my family and then the silver etc...in that order.
