Hope you set up satellite office at a flee market. Ebay is a pain in the ass with their paypal bull. I was off ebay for 3 years...just started back a few months ago and got yanked on my 3rd deal. 100% rating and the guy didn't ship it...be careful when they don't offer insurance. Gives them an out when you win the bid too low. The guy said he mailed it and it got lost in the mail...no biggy, just a 1 ounce bar...he didn't even argue if I received it, just gave back my money. That's more suspicous then if he would have fought me. I know he was pissed I won the bar cheap. I think I beat him posting in the last 10 seconds.

No way I would buy PM like this. Why would you want to risk your money when there are far better exchange sites that guarantee you will receive what you are paying for, and for very reasonable fees?

Truly amazing.

I take checks in my retail business, but my experience is no where near as good as yours. At least in our smaller town, I have a good chance to track the kiter down and collect, or prosecute.

They want to deliver the bullion to your grandchildren. i'll pay a premium to have it in my hand. If you want to be an invester go for it. I'd buy a farm if I wanted to really invest.

I used to sell a lot on ebay, b 4 payrob, i took in over 6,000 personal checks and only had one bad one. That is amazing.

Similar to the results I got with checks when I sold fansubs (off my own
private web page not Ebay). I probably got a similar number over time
and only 2 bad checks, one I just told him I wouldn't ship because it was
something I was discontinuing selling and the bounced check came back
after the dealine I set (I suspect he was trying to stretch the deadline in
hopes he'ld have money in his account by the time it cleared, that way it
would still be post marked in time) and my bank didn't charge me any fee
so no loss. The other time the person was appologising seriously and
re-sent payment with enough extra to cover my bank fees. When they
explained that this had been happening to them repetitively despite
their online banking saying they had enough money to cover it I eventually
figured out their bank was "holding" deposits before allowing them to be
drawn upon but not showing them an "available balance" along with the
"total balance", thus their bank was bouncing checks as NSF for no
apparent reason. :( I don't think this would have been figured out had
I not stumbled across it.

I think 2 things helped. I always posted on my web page that I'd
allow time for checks to clear before shipping. Also when you are
doing something illegal for people on a "profit indifferent" basis and
consistantly deliver the stuff to many people you tends to become
well liked. ;)
