View Full Version : Question about Physical possession of Silver
Let's say I go out and buy a lot of silver. Silver eagles lets say. Is it possible for the government to put those new RFI chips in them? Would it work?
If they can then it would seem useless to try to hide the silver. Wouldn't those RFI chips lead them right to the silver?
If I did go out and buy silver would it be better to buy coins that are older than when they invented those things? What year would that be? I hate to sound paranoid but I don't really understand how those RFI chips work.

If in doubt pre-1965 silver coins would be the way to go.

They thought Noah was nuts. Whats your point? Better to be called nuts than follow the sheep to the slaughter house.

Don't mind buff. He is the master of one line insults. He got banned a while back at GIM for it. I think he is a hoot.

Oh...ones of those. LOL Oh well, the way I look at it there isn't too many opportunties out here for the average person to make a good deal. Silver may or may not go way up in price but after reading what more knowledgeable people than I am say about it, I'd guess it seems like the only game in town. It sure seems like the odds are much better than the Lotto.

RFI chips will only work when a radio transmission is transmitted close by. For example, if I had one in my arm or hand, the RFI chip would only active and send data, when I was close to an RFI reader.
RFI, as of right now, only works in close proximity. I doubt you would have to worry about RFI chips in Silver Eagles.

Yeah, I got banned at GIM. They are a bunch of muslim lovers over there. One of them kept trying to explain how the Koran said it was ok to screw a nine year old. I kept telling him that it was not ok. But everyone over at GIM did not seem to have a problem with it. They did not seem to want better for their daughters.

Was that the reason they gave you for being banned? Is so, shame on them. Well, I guess we are off topic here.

They have a whole section that is used to promote muslems. I do not guess that they were watching TV on 9-11.

RFID works at a range of about 4 inches. It doesn't work inside a metal container. And the RFID would melt if they tried to cast hot metal around it.
Forget it.
