Has anyone read this book? Its a great, simple, financial book with a down-to-earth story of how to become wealthy. The book is a story of ancient Babylonians dealing in silver and gold and how to save and become wealthy. The only problem I see is its too simple.

I wish it were that simple today. Now we have paper money, credit cards, mortgages, and taxes on food and merchandise. Things are becoming more complex and its not nearly as easy to protect the hard earned money.

I wish our society still had "real" currency to deal with, such as silver and gold.

If you have not read the book I defintley suggest it. Thoughts? Comments?

Can you summarize the general principals of the book? Might it be, buy on the dips and hold?

There is a pretty good review of the book. Its very simplistic and its a lot more interesting than a lot of financial books out there since it is a story.

Read the book 40 years ago. Simple and effective plan. Wish I had done it. Told my sons. Wish they had done it. Recommend the book to any young person.
