A rather decent analysis, but I really cannot see gold hitting $2000 this year. I think we MIGHT see $1200, but I don't see the growth happening that quickly, even if it is only a momentary peak.

Then again, I do NOT fall in to the 'paranoid' camp of PM collectors. I'm in the middle-ground, so I don't think we'll see public confiscation anytime soon.

[edit] Not to imply that the previous poster, or writer of the article are 'in the paranoid camp'. Only stating an opinion.

Here's another good article:

http://news.goldseek.com/InternationalForecaster/1214415236.php

While this article is not nearly as "out there" as the first, it nonetheless lays out in very logical fashion the unstable situation facing the U.S. dollar, its fall from grace, and the possible rise of Gold and Silver as money.

If Gold and Silver are going to double (or more) near term (i.e. within a year), IMHO, two things must happen:

1) There must be an economic "seismic event" whose damage is so great that it is beyond immediate containment by the PPT, FED, and Cartels. Essentially something which wakes people up and scares them to the point of investing in PMs to protect their remaining wealth...... a large, sudden demand for PMs. Two likely examples could be the failure of one or two more large financial institutions, or an attack on Iran.

2) People must buy their PMs in physical (non-ETF) form and take delivery. This includes, for those who are already in an ETF, getting out of the ETF and taking delivery. I believe I have shown (in other posts) that it is possible to "create" Silver out of thin air with these electronic instruments of deception. And as Ted Butler and others acknowledge,....they can simply lie. ETFs were a convenient way to invest, now they must be eliminated because they are being used by the PTBs as a just another method of price manipulation.
