I've seen a stock I like the look of, but it's only available on the TSX and OTCQX.

The trading account I opened (optionsxpress) doesn't trade the TSX.

Anyone know of any that do?

I've never used them, but I have heard good things about PennTrade in Idaho.

Ahh!

Apparently, the mining company I want to buy into trades under a different name on the TSX and NASDAQ.

So, I guess I'm sorted!

Would you care to share the name of it?

I have an Ameritrade account. You cannot by TSX stocks through them, only the pick sheet US equivalents. Almost the same, but not quite.

TD Waterhouse's marriage to Ameritrade never told me about this pink sheet Gulag. I wanna get some juniors in mining but worry I'll be unable to unload them at a timely profit. I like a shorter (legit?) ticker symbol.

Curiosity will not kill the C/Kats of SS Nation!

I made a lot of profit (relatively speaking) in the pink sheet junior mining stocks since the Oct '08 low. They are very hard to evaluate because you need to look at so many of them. My solution was to set up some basic criteria (such as reserves, debt levels and average daily volume) and filter all the PM junior stocks through those criteria. I then put $1000 into each of about 50 of those which passed the filter and put stop losses on them all This only worked because I chose the bottom of the market as an entry point put in total I made well over 100% on them in less than a year. I found that ss long as the daily dollar volume is at least 10 times the current value of my holding then I had no trouble sellling within 24 hours of my order.

I think that there might be another good entry point soon once the HUI stablilizes above its 50dma and silver shows signs of a breakout.

I found out all brokerages are converting to a universal system. PINKS and GREYS are available to you by OTC. Most BUYS will still need to be broker-assisted, Most SELLS you should be able to do via internet. NO direct buying from the TSX for us Americans.
I asked about the price discrepanies seen from TSX compared to OTC prices. The answer I was given: In time all will be the same in real time pricing, but not all have converted yet so the process is slow.

The average Canadian psyche is more daytrader oriented than the average American trader. This conversion does hamper US Traders in CA penny stocks until the system is complete.

FWIW,
